Economic Development Center, 8 years experienced credit agency in microfinance, won the international bid and has been nominated to provide the administration services for the fund to grant micro-credits to the beneficiaries in 7 of the 8 regions of the country. The bid was held by the Ministry of Labour, Social Solidarity and Family within the Social Sector Development Program, the micro-credit scheme, based on the loan agreement between Romania and the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development.

Economic Development Center and SAPARD Agency signed an agreement in order to ensure the co-financing terms for applicants to micro-credit grants, according to SAPARD Agency's procedures, to CDE's methodology and according to the provisions of the law.
